I had a blast at the Fitness and Health Bloggers Conference. We were fed tons of great food and it was really fun mingling with like-minded bloggers and learning all sorts of social media things (from monetizing your blog to SEO to blogging ethics to twitter terminology) (sidenote: I felt like a grandma the whole time… hashtags and twitter handles? that’s what you call them? oh. good to know. welcome to the 21st century, Erin)
I probably ate my weight in berries all weekend, all thanks to the wonderful Driscolls Berries who had tables of fruit set up at all times.
My fav part of the whole conference was meeting so many awesome bloggers. We were all there because we love taking care of our bodies and we love inspiring others to do the same through our blogs. Bloggers are a friendly bunch. Everyone I met was so friendly.
It was really cool meeting Beth, a CO runner whose blog (SUAR) I’ve been a huge fan of for a while now. She’s super hilarious and down to earth and genuine… not to mention a speedy runner and training for a half ironman right now. Baller status. I also had a blast kickin’ it with Clair the YogaBoss and Heather the BQ’in Mommy of Three during the live blogging sesh. We stuffed our faces with ridiculous amounts of Larabars and berries and enjoyed our free Skinny Margaritas. Good times.
Also during the weekend, I had the chance to catch up with Amanda. So kind and friendly, I really enjoyed chatting with her. Women who’ve completed marathons and triathlons and are clearly rockin’ 6 packs post-having-kids are BAMFs in my book. I want to be like these women one day. Totally inspiring.
Thanks so much to the folks who put together the conference, it was a huge success and a blast to be a part of!
