1.) Weez and I are about to celebrate our 3 year anniversary, and I’m still all giddy thinking about our first kiss. The day my life changed forever. And I know a lot of you have been with your husbands/signifs for much, much longer, but any anniversary (no matter how small) is precious to me, because I like to reflect on how we started and how much we’ve grown together.
2.) Lent is over in less than 3 days! I can’t hardly contain my excitement. Oh sweets, how I’ve missed you. In preparation for Sunday, I spent $27 on Easter candy at the store the other day. Literally my entire cart was filled with bags of candy. I felt like such a fatty. And that doesn’t include the additional gazzilion dollars I plan on spending on cake/cookie/pie recipe ingredients.
I will binge on Sunday and I won’t feel bad about it :)
3.) My legs are STIFF. Two killer hard workouts in 48 hours and my bod is a hot mess. Coach Jeff knows how to generate results, and he’s not going easy on me.
Tuesday was a 70 minute tempo (20 easy, 20 medium, 30 hard) and I just about died. I wanted to lay down on the sidewalk the entire time, but I stuck with it because a.) Weez was with me b.) what doesn’t kill ya makes you stronger. Thanks, Kelly, for my recent fave pump up song.
Thursday (today) was 10 x 400m repeats. Thank goodness for the 2 min recoveries between each, because I was running all-out during the repeats and breathing like a horse. Like, finishing and then hunching over on knees, gasping for air. It felt good to workout HARD like that. I dug it.
