Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend out here in Colorado. I know I’m 25 and should be all grown up and independent and all, but holidays make me miss my folks. I wish we could all just live in the same place. Stupid 1200 miles of separation.

Weez and I made our own little Easter tradition and did an Easter Egg Hunt Challenge! I hid a dozen eggs and timed Weez as he ran around digging them up. And vise versa. It was awesome. And just for the record, I kicked his butt.
After our hunt, we went over to a friend’s house for Easter brunch. We sat outside, enjoyed mimosas, and played cards all afternoon. We had a blast.
I think summer is almost upon us. Warm sun, green grass, flowers are blooming. I love this time of year. I even ran in shorts and a tshirt over the weekend. Bring on the runners tan lines.

If you celebrate it, how was your Easter Weekend? Any fun traditions?
Are you a homebody like me?
What’s your favorite Easter candy? (mine are the mini Cadbury eggs.. they’re like m&ms but better!)

Easter was nice. I hear ya on the mileage separation. Normally we have the whole fam over but this year it was just the five of us.

Tradition is homemade Italian food and the best one, which we didn’t have, is the grown ups egg hunt. Nothing like watching grown men fight for eggs hoping they get the one with $5.

Favorite candy is whatever is in front of me.

Looks like a great weekend! It’s great to start your own traditions, too.

We have never lived near family, so I know how you feel about being far away. You will get used to it, you’ll see (maybe not what you want to hear!).

And I love me some black jelly beans!

I love that you had an easter egg hunt!
My favorite part of easter is the jelly beans…I’ve actually been putting off a trip to Target from TP because I know I’ll have no self control in a candy aisle marked 75% off! Although the good stuff is probably gone by now…and we really need TP!
