1-Year Anniversary Weekend

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and love last week as I blabbered on about our wedding day last year :) I promise I won’t do that to you again. Haha. Weez and I celebrated our 1-year over the weekend by  taking a mini vacay up to Ft. Collins.

We stayed at the quiet, elegant Inn at City Park. It’s a gorgeous French Country-style Bed & Breakfast. The Inn Keeper, Lindsay, gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and showed us to the Canopy Room where we stayed for the weekend.

We enjoyed complimentary glasses of wine on the wrap-around porch, overlooking the backyard gardens and nearby golf course, while relaxing and reading as the sun set. It was wonderful, just what we hoped for!

The home was so quiet and peaceful, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

We made reservations for a nice dinner out on the town, then walked around City Park afterwards.

We kept it a relatively early night since we got up super early for the Equinox Half Marathon the next morning! Race Recap tomorrow, but suffice it to say the race was a gorgeous, super fast downhill through-the-canyon course, and dang I’m sore today! Downhill running is fun (and makes you feel awesome cause it’s fast!) but my body is feeling the effects!

I loved our little weekend get away, and highly recommend the Inn at City Park Ft. Collins B&B!

Have you ever stayed at a B&B before?
How was your weekend?  Congrats to everyone who ran the Denver RnR!

Such a cute place to stay. We’ve never stayed at a B&B. I’ve done a lot of research on opening one in the past but there is something about basically staying in a stranger’s house that has kept us away from actually staying in one. Weird, I know.

    Happy anniversary! :)
